The EU Taxonomy Regulation creates a clear framework for the concept of sustainability and defines a common classification system for sustainable economic activities.

Achieving the overarching goal of a climate-neutral EU by 2050 by investing in sustainable projects and activities.

Taxonomy-compliant economic activities make a significant contribution to at least one of the aforementioned environmental goals:

  1. Climate change mitigation
  2. Climate change adaptation
  3. Sustainable use and protection of water and marine resources
  4. Transition to a circular economy
  5. Prevention and reduction of environmental pollution
  6. Protection and restoration of biodiversity and ecosystems

In addition, the following criteria must be met:

  • DNSH Do No Significant Harm – No significant harm to the other environmental objectives; one taxonomy objective must not be achieved at the expense of another.
  • Consideration of certain minimum protection criteria – Ensuring and complying with certain minimum social protection standards
